Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all training services provided by MADRA Training Academy, including behavioural consultations, residential training, private sessions, group classes, rehabilitation programmes, and any additional support services provided by MADRA Training LTD.
By booking training with MADRA Training Academy, the owner confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
1. Training & Behavioural Work
Dog training and behavioural rehabilitation involve working with live animals whose behaviour can be unpredictable. While every effort is made to achieve the best possible results, MADRA Training Academy cannot guarantee specific behavioural outcomes, timelines, or permanent results.
Success is heavily dependent on:

Owner consistency

Follow-through after sessions
-
Environmental management
-
Household structure
-
Lifestyle factors
-
Genetic and behavioural history
-
Health and wellbeing of the dog
Training is an ongoing process and behavioural rehabilitation may require continued work beyond the agreed programme duration.
2. Owner Responsibility
The owner remains fully responsible for their dog at all times, including following all handling, management, safety, and training advice provided by MADRA Training Academy.
Failure to follow guidance, maintain consistency, or implement management strategies may significantly affect results.
Owners agree to:

Provide accurate behavioural and medical history

Disclose any bite history, aggression, or dangerous behaviours

Inform MADRA of any medication or health conditions
-
Use training equipment safely and responsibly

Continue implementing training outside of sessions
MADRA Training Academy reserves the right to stop training or refuse services if information has been withheld or if safety becomes compromised.
3. Use of Training Tools
MADRA Training Academy may utilise a range of training tools where appropriate, including but not limited to:

Slip leads
-
Long lines
-
Prong collars
-
E-collars
-
Harnesses
-
Food, toy, and play-based rewards
All tools are introduced fairly, ethically, and with conditioning and education. Owners acknowledge that proper use of tools is essential and misuse outside of training guidance may negatively impact the dog’s behaviour or welfare.
Owners accept full responsibility for the use of any tools outside of sessions or training provided by MADRA Training Academy.
4. Aggressive & Reactive Dogs
Owners must disclose any history of:

Human aggression
-
Dog aggression
-
Biting
-
Resource guarding
-
Handling sensitivity
-
Escape behaviours
-
Predatory behaviours
While MADRA Training Academy specialises in behavioural rehabilitation and severe cases, no guarantee can be given that a dog will become “safe,” “fully social,” or completely non-reactive.
Owners understand that management may remain part of long-term ownership responsibilities.
5. Payments & Bookings
Full payment is required prior to the commencement of any programme unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Bookings are not confirmed until payment or deposit has been received.
All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated by MADRA Training Academy.

6. Cancellation Policy
Private Sessions:

Minimum 48 hours notice required to reschedule
-
Sessions cancelled within 48 hours may be lost and remain chargeable
Residential & Intensive Programmes:
-
Deposits are non-refundable
-
Programmes cancelled within 14 days of the start date may be charged in full
-
Start dates may be moved at MADRA’s discretion where possible
MADRA Training Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to illness, emergencies, unsafe weather conditions, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
7. Residential Training
Owners understand that residential training is not a “quick fix.” Dogs returning home without continued structure and consistency may regress.
During residential stays:

Dogs may be exposed to controlled real-world environments
-
Dogs may interact with trainers, family members, helper dogs, or training assistants where appropriate
-
Dogs may be crated safely for management and rest periods
-
Dogs may participate in transport, socialisation, exposure, and handling exercises
Owners authorise MADRA Training Academy to make day-to-day training decisions in the best interests of the dog.
8. Veterinary Treatment
If a dog becomes ill or injured during training, MADRA Training Academy will attempt to contact the owner immediately.
Where emergency treatment is required and the owner cannot be contacted, the owner authorises MADRA Training Academy to seek veterinary care on the dog’s behalf.
Any veterinary costs remain the responsibility of the owner.
MADRA Training Academy is not liable for illness, injury, or medical complications that may arise during training unless caused directly through negligence.
9. Liability
Owners acknowledge that working with dogs carries inherent risks.
MADRA Training Academy, its staff, assistants, or representatives shall not be held liable for:

Injury caused by a dog

Damage caused by a dog

Behavioural relapse after training
-
Incidents occurring outside of training
-
Misuse of training tools
-
Failure of owners to follow guidance
Owners remain legally responsible for their dog at all times under applicable animal control and dangerous dog legislation.
10. Media & Marketing
MADRA Training Academy may photograph or video dogs during training for educational, promotional, or social media purposes.
If owners do not wish their dog to appear in media content, this must be requested in writing prior to training commencing.
11. Health Requirements
Owners confirm that dogs attending training:

Are fit and healthy

Are free from contagious illness
-
Have disclosed any medical concerns
-
Are vaccinated or titre tested where appropriate
-
Are receiving appropriate parasite prevention
MADRA Training Academy reserves the right to refuse entry to dogs showing signs of illness or disease.
12. Pack Walks & Group Sessions
Free pack walks and group sessions are offered as ongoing support but remain subject to availability and suitability.
Dogs displaying unsafe behaviour may be excluded from group environments until appropriate progress has been made.
Owners remain responsible for handling their own dog during group activities unless otherwise agreed.
13. Results Disclaimer
Training results vary between dogs and owners. MADRA Training Academy does not guarantee:

Complete elimination of behavioural issues

Off-lead reliability
-
Full socialisation
-
Compatibility with other dogs or people
-
Permanent behavioural change without ongoing work
Behavioural modification is a long-term process requiring continued owner commitment.
14. Agreement
By booking training with MADRA Training Academy, the owner confirms they:

Accept the risks involved with dog training

Agree to follow training guidance responsibly

Accept full ownership responsibility for their dog
